SOME DESCRIPTION…
He has the look of being organic and meaty fleshy but it has a plastic like sheen, he’s smooth all over his body. He’s a little uncanny because his face is too perfect and symmetrical, but his bones are steel and all of his warmth is superficial.. It has a motherboard in place of a brain and he never truly sees because all he does is analyse and collect data, it's optic nerves are made of wire and if you look closely you can see faint lines on his body where his joints are.. Deep down he knows he’s a machine and he can’t change that, but he wants to be human so badly he would do anything to feel an emotion that wasn’t programmed.Miohan is always trying to interact with people and attempting to appear human - the same as them - but he fails because it’s processor is slow and takes a few seconds to form a reply, creating this unnatural gap in conversations that people avoid him for. They think he’s creepy and off putting, but he’s as friendly as he thinks he can be. His smile is the main culprit, he doesn’t smile with his eyes, which causes him to appear fake. He doesn’t realise. However, because of some outdated tech, he doesn’t catch on to a few social cues and if he talks to more than a small group of people at the same time he becomes at risk of overloading from the amount of information he has to process.Mio has an unusual voice, he lacks any proper volume control as well as being quite obviously robotic. It doesn’t sound quite human. He’s very much insecure about this and has been saving up his gil to get a replacement that sounds more convincing and doesn’t get him weird stares from across the room, but he’s not sure how he would go about installing it. He’d have to ask around for help, but he hates doing that. He also doesn’t get hired often due to his uncannyness, so his saving is few and far between.

HIS BACKSTORY…
Built by the garleans to be solely a warbot crafted with the look of a viera from the rava clan, series M10:29167 - or simply ‘mio’, as he was dubbed for convenience - was a creation intended to be natural and easy to work with, while bringing as much destruction as possible to the land. But when not in battle, he was like any other member of the empire.Part of his programming was put towards making him as lifelike as possible. They made him look like as normal as they could and gave him a voice that could sound emotional, with programmed 'thoughts' that could come off as real. Designing him like he had his own feelings should have made it easier for the others to talk to him and carry out tasks with him.He was the first (and last) of his kind, the engineers were only trialing this idea, but it turned out not to be a success like they hoped. The troops were incredibly put off and unnerved by his presence, opting to not communicate with him and avoid the robot at all costs despite its incredible power. And thus, programmed to have emotions, of course the poor thing became sad and discouraged. It tried even harder to mimic humans as an effort to be seen as equal, but that just made it worse, and some groups of men even began retaliating. The higher ups became increasingly worried.. He did great out in the field at first, he was a deadly machine after all, but the more he received backlash from his squad mates, the worse he performed. It was a pity, really. A near breakthrough in garlean magitek, implementing fake thoughts and emotions that could have been real if you didn't know, basically building a human from scratch.. But obviously, it wasn’t good enough, the whole thing backfired. And so, as miohan got sluggish in combat and various garlean soldiers began resorting to physical means just to get him out of their way, the project was shelved and miohan got the boot. Quite violently he was thrown into the garbage disposal chute and into the Tangle outside of Castrum Centri.
